The Ensemble appears in several mixed formats using various combinations of strings, woodwind and brass players. The musicians in the group are Principal players in the LMP and have appeared as chamber and concerto soloists with the orchestra throughout the UK.

The Ensemble's work

Much of the work that the LMP does as part of its residency in East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, and for smaller rural venues around the UK is performed by the Chamber Ensemble. Its versatility to expand from just two musicians to a string quartet, wind quintet, mixed octet and up to full string orchestra means that it can perform in the smallest of venues and festivals as well as fill a parish church.

There is a huge range of repertoire available to suit all needs, from Baroque and Mozart duets to Schubert's Octet and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings.
