On 28 June 2007, the London Mozart Players and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award held a joint fundraising event at Windsor Castle, entitled Serenade for a Summer's Evening. It featured young violinist Chloë Hanslip playing a Mozart Violin Concerto, as well as Howard Shelley conducting Elgar's Serenade for Strings and Mozart Symphony No. 29. Attended by The Earl and Countess of Wessex, it was followed by a champagne reception and dinner for invited guests in the Undercroft of Windsor Castle. This was a great success in raising funds for both charities.
