Woodford Green, Essex.
How old were you when you started playing, and why did you take up the horn?
14½. I knew somebody who had played one as a young man and allowed me to try it at his home.
What has been your most fun/interesting musical experience so far?
Playing under the batons of Barbirolli, Klemperer, Haitink, Bernstein and other great musicians.
Who have you enjoyed working with the most and why?
André Previn for his good manners to orchestral players and his abundant energy and passion for music.
Do you play any other instruments?
Wagner Tuba, Alphorn, Natural Horn.
Do you have any hobbies you manage to fit into your spare time?
Surviving bringing up a family!

New York.
