Tasmin Little directs Beethoven Violin Concerto

Tasmin LittleBeethoven’s Violin Concerto is one of his most serene works, written at a time of relative personal happiness. The first two movements are quite gentle in character, but this atmosphere is broken by the rumbustuous rustic dance of the finale when Tasmin has the chance to demonstrate some pyrotechnic flair on the fiddle. Tchaikovsky’s Serenade is a glorious work that shows off the colours of the string section in a fantastic Valse and vigorous Russian dance music.
